Effective November 3, 2026
Your phone number; what you tell Ping (first name, age, gender, budget, what you're up for, interests, a line about you, your neighborhood); your photo; your messages with Ping; plans you host or join and who came; who you chose to stay in touch with; reports and blocks.
Connecting Google is optional and happens only when you tap "connect google" on the page Ping texts you.
Calendar: Ping sees only when you're busy over the next 7 days (start and end times, refreshed every 30 minutes), so it doesn't invite you to something then. It doesn't see event titles, places or who's invited.
Gmail: Ping reads only recent confirmation emails from ticketing, restaurant, travel and event senders. Before an AI model reads one, Ping removes email addresses, phone numbers, street addresses and card numbers. Ping keeps only the facts (for example: a ticket, the event, the venue, the time, the seats) and never stores the email itself. Ping uses these facts to suggest plans to you (like asking whether you want company for a game you have tickets to) and to shape what and who it suggests to you. Ping never quotes your email to anyone or tells anyone where a suggestion came from.
Who handles it: your Google sign-in key is stored encrypted on Ping's servers. Ping's AI provider (Anthropic) processes the redacted email text only to pull out those facts, on Ping's behalf.
What Ping never does with your Google data: sell it, use it for ads, or give it to anyone else except to run these features for you, to keep people safe, or when the law requires it. Ping doesn't use it to develop, improve or train AI or machine-learning models.
Ping's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Disconnect any time at myaccount.google.com/connections; Ping stops reading right away. Text "delete me" and everything Ping kept, including what came from Google, is deleted.
People in a plan with you see your first name, age, your line and your photo. A host's address goes only to confirmed guests, an hour before. Phone numbers are shared only when two people both choose to stay in touch. The Ping team can read conversations, and every look is logged.
Ping uses AI models to read and write messages. Phone numbers, email addresses and street addresses are removed before text is sent to a model.
Message text is kept 90 days; after that only what Ping learned about you remains. Text "delete me" and everything about you is deleted within 24 hours, including your photo, except reports and bans kept for safety.
Covers are processed by Stripe; Ping never sees your full card number.
